This August Jiujian1moround find its way to new , chic ,friendly urban homestyle hostel along bangkok Sukhumvit road just 2 min from Nana station which is just 5min from Asoke BTS station.

Located right in the middle of Bangkok’s central business district, The Blocks Hostel is just steps away from Chuvit Garden and across the road from Sukhumvit soi 11, the legendary party scene in Bangkok. Nearby attractions also include Korean Town (Sukhumvit Plaza), Terminal 21 shopping mall, Benjasiri Park, and the latest EM District that consists of big name Emporium and new EMQUARTIER shopping complex.

The 6 storeys building nest in the middle of a strach of old shop houses surrounded by other high rise malls and international hotels is like the bumble bee among the Transformers, Just the right size to create a home ambiance style hostel , not only solves your accommodation woes , but provide a pretty conducive and personal , private hostel staying experience.

I took a few days to differentiate "The Blocks hostel" unique part from the much competitive backpacker hostel business in Bangkok and the following was my personally likings:

1. the spiral stair case that leads up to a private cozy reading and computer area was one of my hiding place when i need to have some time and space of my own to read, write or use the computers

2. the freedom that the hostel provide , mutual trust and respect culture for both parties. except for some general rules and regulation that was being reminded, one feels pretty at home , or even more freedom than your own home.

3. the 1st hostel that provides free self laundry , this really was a plus point that further provide a home like stay environment

4. for a hostel and the rate they were charging, the customized beds that provide guests a good night’s sleep after a day full of activities really worth all the penny

bath and shower room attached in the 4 bedded dormitory makes everyday personal cleaning and detox experiences convenient

5. Though THe Blocks Hostel is consider a small scale hostel , but the creativity in the hostel was not compromised. every space has its own unique style which adds not only comfort for the guests but fun and artistic murals was all bonus to the environment.

besides the above personal likings, food is definately not a problem with varieties ,  delicious and value for money choices ...

The Blocks Hostel is definately one of the few hostels that i have experienced which i would missed and would goes back more than once , not to mention sharing with my friends that travels bangkok and in need of a safe, clean , friendly and affordable hostel to rest the mind and soul during traveling in the land of thousand smiles.

JIUJIAN1MOROUND GOES PARK REGIS SINGAPORE

Opened in 2010 , Park Regis Singapore is one of the first StayWell Hospitality Group (SWHG) in Asia. Strategically located in the heart of Central Business District and within close proximity to Singapore 's entertainment, dining and cultural hubs such as Clark Quay, Boat Quay and Chinatown.
Nest along the Singapore River, the hotel is a 5 minutes walk away from Clarke Quay MRT station and close to Raffle Place, Singapore 's financial hub. Its non smoking upscale hotel offers 202 modernly designed studio-concept classic and executive rooms with within reach hotel facilities earned the property the Certificate of Excellence for 2015 proves itself to be one of the most outstanding mid range luxury hotels that i have recently experienced in Singapore during the mid autumn festival weekend.

It was the day before my performance "Silvery Friends Forever" by Singapore National Arts Council for the yearly Silver Arts 2015 and during the hazy weather of Singapore  that i checked in Park Regis Singapore.  The Purple colored hotel logo, being one of my favorite shade puts a smile on my face. The purple hotel  logo icon sort of glow even during the day leads the short walk from the main road to the hotel entrance with greeneries cleverly arranged helped to shelter the hotel away from traffics hustle and bustle.

checking on the executive style reception on 3rd floor was swift as wind and soon both my mum and myself was assorted to the biggest room of the hotel , PARK ROOM a very condusive studio like room with ceiling glass window facing the pool and a spacious balcony that over looks the clark quay . I particullary love the elongated sitting area next to the ceilling height window with comfy cushions where i almost dozed off watching the swimming pool with the man made fountain and hotels surface designed in the way that seems likes a blocks of legos to me but with tastefully done.

it was so cozy resting on the comfortable attached sofa seater to the ceiling height full size window was a total luxury over looking the pool and modern structure of the hotel . Try it at night , cause moving lights underneath some windows some how created a festive and holiday mood for guests.

Beside my favourite ceiling heigh window pane that i could read and day dreams, another great thing about the Regis Room was the alomost 360 degrees view over the city skyline which subconsciously adds space to the studio size room.  Apart from the well spaced Park Room , the 6 star bedding upgrade with luxurious new bedding,  extra 4 inches of comfort is added to mattresses with Simmons Beautyrest Convoluted Foam Toppers, specially to relieve stress, tension and pressure points .   Light weight pillows(  hypoallergenic 'micro cloud') , Premium 4000thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen comes together creating a 6 Star sleeping experience for a light sleeper like me.

i reckoned at the end of my stay , why this little giant left a lusting impression for both myself and mum . Its the detail calculation of spaces used in different areas of the property ,
from the hotel lobby that links to the cafe " Twenty3Drink and Dine restaurant, bar and lounge  that served east-west dining, as well as international buffet breakfast.

soothing tone and milimalist style set of cafe was a great place to dine or catch up for some great times 

and 142 seated modern restaurant Royal Pavillion that serves Cantonese cuisines  , reception area located upper level that created a relaxing check in and out space for guests  , not to mention the gym just next to the 25meters swimming pool with  cascading waterfall features that created a resort like ambiance  for the 4 Star up scale hotel nesting in the centre of the city.

Besides the within reached , conducive modern concept, materials and color tones used within the property plays an important part. The warm , friendliness and professional services of the hotel members continues to elevate the standard of this 4 star upscale property . Simple gestures from the staff , especially from the hotel front area and receptions all created a very welcoming staying experience for my 3 days stay. I hope the standards of the Australia hospitality groupo continues to make a mark for not only the Singapore  but  Asia and global competitive hospitality industries.

雨，好像是天空换季飘来的斑驳信笺，
寄不出，撕不掉，留不住？

灯光微暗处，你们低头，他们寒暄，我们翻阅过去、现在与未来。我则再度调整坐姿与心态准备开始迎接另一场风雨云涌。霎时发现，原来若即若离的舞台似乎好近，却那么远。。。。。。薄纱内一对对像是迷失方向的白色幽灵，缓缓移动，像在层层白云漂浮，在波纹中太空漫游的一对对白色佳偶。这恰好的位置，像是人生十字路口正中央，我更愿意把它看成人生最美的其中一次场景。步上红地毯之前的白色佳偶们，是在各自为必须明白和理清对爱的真谛所必须许下的承诺？
很多时候人生的“必须如此”，到最后却也成了“未必如此”

卖叮叮糖的老妇开始滑动时间巨轮， 我开始神游三世轮回。

也许世事明理从来不易，所以必须辗转人间三回。一回确定对爱情是否总是比别人付出更多，是自己选择了被人遗忘，或遗忘永远如影随行。二回用情至深，修得世人垂怜，一番苦心终走向光的地方，遗爱人间。三回不再自怨自艾，虽然繁华都市难免偶有险滩，但凭其聪颖过人之处，愿明白个中道理，永垂不朽。

记忆继续来回拉扯，难忘初遇丽卿羞涩，外柔内刚的娇羞身影和一辈子挥之不去的衣袖。再见俪人，多了份刚毅和倔强。三见丽卿与英雄历经岁月洗涤，也许，也许将为这场雨划下最完整的句点。

卖叮叮糖的老妇又来催促了， 时间再次推着我走向衔接陆地和轮船的那道光梯，记忆划过一张张熟悉的，陌生的。。。。。。远处又飘来丽卿，英雄，阿玲，王梅，阳光和梦雨的歌声了。我终于看到你们都对我好，我想说我从未离开，能陪你们寂寞看寂寞，何尝不是件最幸福的事！

Today we are walking into the Dorsett Brand : Dorsett features contemporary midscale hotels in carefully chosen urban locations, providing business and leisure travellers with easy access to downtown areas.                               and for the first time Singapore multi talented award winning Singer Song Writer /  Producer was invited to stay with DORSETT SINGAPORE...

Artistic, creativity and little details is what attracts me. Though there was a small hiccups only when i checked into the balcony room and found out there is actually no balcony room that leads to pool, which i was attracted by the picture when i did the booking. Fortunately my disappointment was soon taken care when the front desk offered to upgrade me to their Splash room with luxury bath tub space and see through glass panel separating bath room and bed room. For some one that needs space, the Splash room was seems a good choice. 

After the 1st night i decided to extend my stay with Dorsett to try other room types and to my surprised i was being upgraded again, this round the loft room which provides a mezzanine level that separate work and rest area with a King Size Bed, with the celling length glass window provides a modern ambiance.

The Assistant Guest Service Manager, Ms Jean's calm and friendly gestures offering to show me to the lift after my reregistration for my extension, And to my my surprised i was being offered free breakfast for 2 for the next morning and and extended check out time to 3pm and i settled in the new room. Than i suddenly remembered on the short walk to the lift i asked Ms Jean if breakfast was provided, i didn't push for it after knowing it wasn't included. Again that shows Dorsett team "listened" to their guests and put in efforts to create a more than pleasant stay for their guests. 

Singapore multi talented award winning Singer Song Writer/ Producer Mr Jiu Jian personally met up with Mr Wong and Ms Lindy from Marcom to share more about his staycation experiences and future  collaboration possibilities. ( picture take at the cafe infront of tastefully chosen art piece ) 

Though Dorsett might seems an average size hotel from outlook but its the interior design makes it unique among the crop. Not to mention Landscape roof garden that offers a quick respite anytime of the day, a 30-meter outdoor swimming pool and outdoor Jacuzzi offer the perfect avenue to refresh and recharge , fully equipped gym and tastefully decorated cafe cum bar have all elevated the overall staying experience.
